Multi Sport Academy

With the high-quality sports facilities here at K Sports our sports education programmes offer something truly exciting, with Post-16 education delivered creatively.

We have crafted study programmes offering 16-19 boys and girls the opportunity to study and train, with a high-quality experience with three focus areas around Education, Employability and Sporting Excellence.

Our curriculum studies are split into three key areas:
• Core curriculum
• Vocational studies
• Work-based learning

Our core curriculum is made up of English and mathematics and depending on each student’s academic levels, our qualified teaching staff will provide support to every learner across varying levels, from Entry Level Functional Skills up to GCSE.

In addition, the vocational based studies include a BTEC in Sport, again delivered at different levels dependent on the individual student.

Our final opportunity, a work-based learning offer has been devised to support students who wish to focus on the more practical side of things. Alongside the offer of English and mathematics, and a vocational qualification, the learner is given opportunities to gain work experience in industry related placements.

The timetable for these programmes has also been influenced by our UEFA A License coaches to ensure practical training sessions are delivered to the highest possible standards, delivered from a structured Academy Performance Plan, in accordance to the Elite Player Performance Plan and The FA Future Game document.

There will also be opportunities for players to play in an organised and structured league, play professional football clubs and be entered into relevant tournaments. Our plans are vast, as we intend to develop a legacy which enables young people to continue to develop high-quality football and sports participation and to develop, motivate and inspire others.

Like all our programmes, there’s lots of progression options afterwards. Our positive relationships with colleges mean our students can be supported if applying to a college. We can also offer our learners sports apprenticeship opportunities with Kent County Council primary schools.
