We are very excited to unveil plans for our award-winning facility to become a hub for a range of new Education and Training programmes from this September.
Our 28 acre, multi-sport facility has undergone a huge transformation since new owners took over the facility two years ago.
With millions of pounds of investment furnishing the premises with a FIFA Pro rated football surface, artificial grass hockey pitch, Technogym and more; we are now opening our doors to create further opportunity for young people in the local community.
Maximising the first-class facility on offer, we have developed a number of partnerships with educational and training focused organisations, as well as statutory bodies such as Kent County Council, to offer a variety of unique programmes targeted for 16-21 year olds.
A brand-new full-time football academy for boys and girls will be led by UEFA A Licensed coach, Darren Hare from September 2018, alongside a variety of other programmes including alternative curriculums, study programmes, apprenticeships and traineeships.
K Sports Chief Executive, Alan Dennington is excited for young learners to join in September and be part of the inaugural group to benefit from the outstanding new programme.
“The purpose behind developing the facilities we have here at K Sports is to create a hub of sporting activity, covering the elite side of things but also focused on creating opportunity for the local community. We have brought in a number of experienced and expert staff to get a variety of programmes up and running, using the power of sport to offer young people a start to build their future.”
“Our facilities give us a unqiue – and unrivalled – opportunity which we can share to engage young people. Sport is a huge part of our offering but our partnerships extend beyond that into employability, construction and more. It’s a very exciting time and I’d encourage any young person or parent, to visit us and find out more.”
